My first chemotherapy is in the morning. If I told you I wasn't nervous for not only tomorrow but for the side effects that I will come within the next three weeks, I would be lying. I am very nervous. However, I have this wonderful bag packed with all the things that I may need during my treatments. Blankets, movies, chapstick, a change of clothes A lot of things you might take on vacation...or to Chemoville :). And I have all of you wonderful people loving me and praying for me and that I have carried in my heart this whole time, and it will surely be with me tomorrow. They have told me that I will receive some anti nausea medicine and Benadryl while taking my treatment so it is likely that I will be tired tomorrow after I come home. I will have a blood draw at 9 am to check all my levels and make sure I am healthy to start the treatment. I will meet with the doctor and he will tell me how my blood work turned out and whether or not I can proceed with treatment. If its a go then I will be on the 3rd floor for treatment. My infusion is 5 hours. So with the appointment before hand we are looking at an 8-9 hour day. After tomorrow... only 5 more times! Thank you thank you thank you...for everything. xoxo, Mary Ann |
